Project support and warranties are an integral part of our Web and App developments. We provide a six-week support period — free of charge — for fixing any bugs after completion of a project. Extended periods of support are negotiable.
The warranty becomes effective from the date of final delivery of any project. In the event there is a delay in the response and the return of feedback after the end of the warranty period provided by the WCP Digital Team, we cannot guarantee immediate bug fixes and would consider all feedbacks as change requests. Any change requests beyond identified bugs will have to be estimated separately. They will be considered as changing the scope of a project.
Open Source Software
We regularly use open source software, such as Concrete5, Umbraco, WordPress, MySQL and Apache to build and host websites. It offers great value and excellent functionality. If we had to custom code these sites from scratch, the cost would be in the tens of thousands of dollars! However, all off-the-shelf software, including open source software, has bugs. We cannot guarantee that off-the-shelf software will be bug-free.
Open source software (and its various plug ins and extensions) are not developed by us and is not owned or controlled by us. We are also not able to know every bug within an existing version of software, and whether a fix has been posted for it on the community forums or not. This, of course, changes all the time. A stable, reportedly bug free version one day, can subsequently have a number of bugs identified and a new version released the following day.
Depending on the need for a particular fix, you can wait for a fix to be posted on the forums or a new version to be released, or you can ask us for a quote to fix it for you if the issue is critical.
